The Ministry of Heath has confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas.
This brings the number of cases up to 46 – 38 on New Providence, seven on Grand Bahama and one on Bimini.
The new patients are a 25-year-old man on Grand Bahama, a 58-year-old woman on New Providence, a 49-year-old woman on New Providence and a 29-year old woman on New Providence. Authorities said none of them has a history of travel.
Three of the new patients have been hospitalized, including the 25-year-old and the 29-year-old. The fourth patient is at home in isolation.
“Health officials continue to follow the condition of the other current COVID-19 positive cases,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement on Saturday.
Four hundred and ninety-three people are in isolation.
